Trim Levels

Four trim levels are available with the new Gladiator.

Sport

The lineup starts with the Sport, which, like the other trims, has a five-seat cabin and a five-foot truck bed. All models share the same crew cab design with four doors. The Sport has cloth seats, 17-inch steel wheels, and 32-inch tires.

Willy

The Willys has special 32-inch mud tires, and it upgrades to power-operated mirrors, doors, and windows. A Class-IV tow hitch is included.

The Rubicon is a more off-road-oriented model with low-range gears and larger all-terrain tires. The Fenders are specially designed for more ground clearance, and the Rubicon has Fox shocks, protective skid plates, and rock rails.

With the Mojave comes Fox shock absorbers, a Desert Rated badge, and a front suspension lift. Thus, you can traverse the great outdoors near Madison, AL.

Interior and Exterior

There are two rows of seats across the Gladiator lineup, with differing features based on the model you get. The Sport, the base trim, has manually adjustable side mirrors, manual windows, and manually locking doors. A push-button start for the ignition is standard. Additional upgrades to successive trims include a leather steering wheel and dual-zone climate control. Special seating material, including plaid upholstery and upgraded cloth, comes with select trims.

Outside, the Jeep Gladiator has a signature rugged Jeep SUV look. The Gladiator's design is based heavily on the Wrangler, so it shares many features with its cousin. The Gladiator has Jeep's signature front grille and some styling updates in the latest model year for a more adventurous look around Athens, AL. The Gladiator has doors that can be removed as needed and a folding front windshield.

Rock rails are standard, beginning with the Willys, the second trim in the lineup. This trim also adds LED headlights. All-terrain tires are standard on the Gladiator, and they range in size. The Gladiator has a standard folding soft top, although you can get a hard top with removable panels. Steel bumpers are also an available exterior feature.

Performance

Powering the new Jeep Gladiator is a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine. This engine has a power output of 285 horsepower and up to 260 pound-feet of torque. You can keep the manual six-speed transmission or switch to the eight-speed automatic transmission. Part-time four-wheel drive and low-range gearing are standard across the line, but you can get standard four-wheel drive as a full-time feature instead. The Jeep's maximum towing capacity is 4,000 pounds.

Technology and Features

The Gladiator starts with a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. A stereo with eight speakers is standard for sound. The Willys adds an upgraded driver display and more safety aids. An Alpine sound system is available for an upgraded sound system, and you can add integrated navigation as an available item, too.

Safety

The Gladiator is equipped with cruise control on all trims. Adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning with emergency automatic braking are added to the Willys. Other optional safety aids include a front-facing camera, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.
